The Aurora Seedling Fund Community Grants Program is a management account of Community Enterprise™ Charitable Fund. ABN 12 102 649 968. The Bendigo Centre, Bendigo, VIC, 3550. The Aurora Seedling Fund is made possible by the support of Sprout Hub Aurora and Lendlease.

Did you know that 10 cents from every dollar you spend at Sprout Hub Aurora goes into the Seedling Fund? The Seedling Fund is a community-led grant initiative that aims to promote and enable local groups to do great things in the community. In a process similar to crowd funding, the community votes for which projects get the majority of the $’s. We call it a ground up grant – money raised by the community, for the community.

parkrun - Creating a safe environment for community exercise/wellbeing event

A parkrun is launching soon within Aurora and will be one of over 360 parkruns in Australia to provide a free, timed, 5km running/walking event to the local community, every Saturday morning. The overriding goal of establishing a parkrun event at Wollert/Epping North is to encourage the health and wellbeing of community members. The project aims to engage people from all backgrounds and of all fitness levels, abilities and ages, both to volunteer and walk/run. The Seedling Fund grant will be used to purchase an Automatic Electronic Defibrillator (AED), in order to create the safest possible environment for our community to get together.
